Bundala National Park
Sri Lanka's first Ramsar wetland — flamingos, lagoons and salt pans.
Bundala is a chain of coastal lagoons and salt pans and was the first Sri Lankan wetland declared a Ramsar site. Between September and March it fills with migratory waterfowl, including greater flamingo. It is an easy add-on from Yala or Tissamaharama for anyone who cares about birds.
