Wasgamuwa National Park
Sloth bear country between two rivers, with almost no one else there.
Wasgamuwa lies between the Mahaweli and Amban rivers and takes its name from the Sinhalese for sloth bear. It sees a fraction of Yala's visitors and is one of the better places in the country for bear, along with large elephant herds and endemic birds.
