Reef straight off the beach at Pigeon Island, wrecks off the south.
Pigeon Island, one of only two marine national parks in the country, has living staghorn coral, turtles and blacktip reef sharks a short swim from shore. The south coast has wrecks and reef between November and April. Certification courses run at Unawatuna and Nilaveli.
